Doxa Divingstar

This is a very rare type of Divingstar: this one has a different bezel compared to te common ones. And there’s a very good reason for it: this Divingstar was an issued watch for the French Navy Marine Nationale ‘M.N.’.

Compared to the Tudor Submariners, these did not get engraved with an issue number on the caseback.

A great time keeper (ETA-workhorse) and the lume was very good and lasted for a long time.

The guy I got it from was a retired M.N. diver. He had two but I only had money to buy this one.

I sold it a couple years later as an excuse to part fund a 1933 201 3 window coupe Peugeot (my brother got married in it), which I was going to hot rod later.

It’s one of those watches I hope to find another one off in the future, this time to keep!
